Meet Your Coach (and owner of Live Young Fitness)

Hi, I’m Ross.

I created Live Young Fitness over 15 years ago to help adults over 40 feel stronger, healthier and more confident through realistic, supportive fitness coaching.

I know how intimidating fitness can feel when you haven’t trained for a while — which is why our sessions focus on encouragement, progression and long-term results rather than extremes.

Whether you’re starting from scratch or getting back into exercise after years away, we’ll help you every step of the way.

How long are sessions?

All sessions are 45 mins. This means you can get from home, get your workout done and back home again in under an hour.

Where are the group sessions based?

We use a couple of different locations depending on times. These are:

6.15am Sessions - The Reef Youth Club - Colehill

9.30am Sessions - Wimborne Football Club - OUTDOOR SESSIONS UNDER COVER

7pm Sessions - Colehill First School

Saturday  8.30am - Colehill First School

 

Are the sessions suitable for beginners as I haven't exercised for a while?

The sessions are designed for all exercise abilities - from beginner to advanced although most of our members had either never exercised previously or had not exercised in very long time before joining.   

Is this for women and men?

Yes - This programme is specifically designed to help busy women and men over 40 with their fitness!

Can I just do personal training instead of group training?

Yes. Although we run group training sessions, we also have a personal training service which you can choose if you would prefer 1-2-1 work. Or you could do a hybrid of group and personal training which many of our members do. Just let us know this on your call.

When does the programme start?

We can start your programme any Monday of your choice.

I am on holiday for 1 week during the programme?

We are unable to cater for holidays on the programme however will make sure you have guidelines to follow where applicable.  

Can i really do Unlimited Group Sessions each week?

Yes, you have access to Unlimited Group Training Sessions.

Can I do this even with some old niggles and injuries?

As we work with predominantly over 40s, the vast majority of our members carry some old injuries including myself. We ask that you let us know about any issues before starting and we can always offer alternative exercises to make an exercise easier or more suitable depending on the issue. We have members with back, knee and ankle issues and we just ask that your do your best with what your body allows. This is why we require everyone to start with an intro first so we can learn more about you.

What happens after the 6 Week Programme?

After the Programme we offer a monthly membership option but we will give you further information on it once you are into your programme. See how you get on in the 6 weeks first and then we can discuss continuing if its something you are thinking about and you have a longer term goal. There is no pressure or obligation to stay on afterwards as this can be done as a one off programme.
